Two Harbors Investment Corp. to Webcast Analyst & Investor Day
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Two Harbors Investment Corp. (NYSE: TWO; NYSE MKT: TWO.WS) will host a live webcast of its Analyst & Investor Day from the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, October 10, 2012.
Beginning at 11:00 a.m. EDT, a three hour long webcast will be available for investors, analysts, and media by visiting Two Harbors’ web site at www.twoharborsinvestment.com in the Investor Relations section under the Events and Presentation link. An event transcript will be available on the same web page following the event and an archived audio recording will be available for 30 days. Due to space restrictions, the live event is by invitation only.
Two Harbors Investment Corp.’s Analyst & Investor Day will feature special guest speaker, Ivy Zelman, Chief Executive Officer of Zelman & Associates. As a preeminent housing market industry expert, Ms. Zelman will share her views on the market today and her forecasts for the future of the housing market.
Following Ms. Zelman’s presentation, there will be management presentations by Two Harbors’ senior executives including Tom Siering, Chief Executive Officer, Bill Roth, Co-Chief Investment Officer, and Brad Farrell, Chief Financial Officer. The management team will be covering a variety of topics, including executive insights, a portfolio update, and a financial review. After the presentations, management will host a question and answer session.

Ivy Zelman, Chief Executive Officer, Zelman & Associates
As Chief Executive Officer of Zelman & Associates, Ivy Zelman holds over 20 years of experience covering housing and housing-related industries. Founded in October 2007, Zelman & Associates delivers unbiased, proprietary research using unparalleled industry contacts and financial analyses across all aspects of the housing food chain including: housing, building products, homecenters, multi-family, single family rental, mortgage finance and policy initiatives.
Prior to founding Zelman & Associates, Ivy worked at Credit Suisse Group from 1998 to 2007, the last 8 years as a Managing Director. During her tenure at the company, she established herself as the leading industry source for housing related research. Prior to Credit Suisse, Ivy worked at Salomon Brothers from 1990 to 1997, with the last six years spent in Equity Research. She received a Bachelor of Science from George Mason University in 1990, while working full time at Ernst & Young in Virginia.
Ivy continues to be frequently quoted in The Wall Street Journal and appears occasionally as a guest on CNBC. For the past 18 years, Institutional Investor has recognized Ivy as one of the most preeminent figures within the industry. Thomas Siering has served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Two Harbors since its incorporation in May 2009. Mr. Siering also serves as Partner of Pine River Capital Management. Prior to joining Pine River as a Partner in 2006, Mr. Siering was head of the Value Investment Group at EBF & Associates in Minnetonka, Minnesota. He joined EBF in 1989 and was named a Partner in 1997. From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Siering was the portfolio manager of Merced Partners, LP and Tamarack International Limited. Those funds engaged in a variety of distressed, credit and value strategies. Mr. Siering began his career at Cargill, Incorporated where he was a founding member of their Financial Markets Department. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa with a major in Finance.
William Roth, Co-Chief Investment Officer, Two Harbors Investment Corp.
William Roth has served as Co-Chief Investment Officer of Two Harbors since October 2009. Mr. Roth also serves as Partner of Pine River Capital Management. Prior to joining Pine River in 2009, Mr. Roth was at Citigroup and its predecessor firm, Salomon Brothers Inc., for 28 years where he was named a Director in 1987 and a Managing Director in 1997. From 2004 to 2009, Mr. Roth managed a proprietary trading book at Citigroup with particular focus on mortgage and asset-backed securities. From 1994 to 2004, Mr. Roth was part of the Salomon/Citi New York Mortgage Sales Department. From 1981 to 1994, Mr. Roth was based in Chicago and managed the Chicago Financial Institutions Sales Group for Salomon Brothers. He received an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1981, and a B.S. in Finance and Economics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1979.
Brad Farrell, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Two Harbors Investment Corp.
Brad Farrell has served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Two Harbors since January 2012. Mr. Farrell previously served as Two Harbors' Controller. Mr. Farrell has spent the breadth of his career overseeing financial management, reporting and business analysis for public financial service companies. Prior to joining Pine River in 2009, he was Vice President and Executive Director of External Reporting for GMAC ResCap, a diversified real estate company. In this role, from 2007 to 2009, he was responsible for GMAC ResCap’s public filing and bank holding company reporting initiatives. He was also involved in GMAC ResCap’s debt restructuring and related accounting and liquidity initiatives. From 2002 to 2007, Mr. Farrell held various positions in finance and accounting with XL Capital Ltd., a public global insurance underwriter, including the establishment of finance and accounting processes in its London based insurance segment. Prior to 2002, he was employed with KPMG and where he gained experience managing US GAAP implementation and Securities Exchange Act compliance engagements for foreign filers in the firm’s London practice. Mr. Farrell is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), and graduated with a B.S.B.A. from Drake University in Des Moines, IA.
